Bible Institute > Discover the BI > Ministry
Scripture teaches that we are all called to do the work of the ministry. Because this is a Biblical conviction of ours, every student takes part in a ministry. Each ministry is an opportunity to take what is being learned in the classroom and applied. Some ministry opportunities include: "Born Again to a Living Hope" Drama, Children’s Ministry, Sports Ministry, Sing Team, Open Air Evangelism, Local Church Ministry and Sunday School Ministry. Each weekend our students are involved in one or more of the ministries above. For this reason we do not have regular classes on Fridays so our students can rest and catch up on their studies.
Children's Ministry
Our Children's Ministry targets children between the ages of 4 and 12. As part the performances we use puppets, do sketch board messages, sing, do balloon animals, and have many other surprises for the children, who are mostly still wide open for the message of the Gospel of Christ.
Born Again Drama
One of our most effective ministries is the Born Again to a Living Hope stage performance. It portrays the true story of a young couple, how their lives of hopelessness turned around and they found living hope when they met God. The play warns young people of the trap of drugs and alcohol, of the consequences of giving in to peer pressure and sexual liberalism and ultimately of the danger of AIDS. We visit schools, orphanages, prisons and various youth events with this thought provoking presentation.
Music and Drama
Our Music and Drama Team also often ministers around the country through concerts, evangelistic meetings, testimonies and short plays. They often accompany one of our missionaries or a guest speaker when they are invited to preach at a church service or at a Bible Conference.
Open Air Evangelism
We always try to take the Gospel out where the people are. The Open Air Evangelism team does this on a weekly basis reaching people on the streets of Budapest, who would never visit a religious event or enter a Church building. The street provides a neutral atmosphere for these people to engage in spiritual conversations with members of our team after watching a sketch board presentation, a pantomime, or listening to lively music.
Sports Ministry
One of the avenues we use is sports. We organize sports marathons, soccer clinics at our facilities, help coaching local teams, and also organize sports rallies throughout the country. At each sports event we share the Gospel in one way or another: through testimonies, sketch board presentations, and personal conversations. Sports is also an excellent tool to ”live what we preach” as we demonstrate fairness and Christlike behaviour even in the heat of the action on the field or court.
Sunday School Ministry
Danube International Church (DIC) from Budapest offers a unique opportunity to the Word of Life students: investing in young people’s life, ages two and three up until fifth and sixth graders, through teaching them the Word of God. This is Sunday School Ministry. Each Sunday morning a group of 10-15 students travel to Budapest via public transportation to teach in Sunday School at DIC.
The church provides the teaching material, on top of that everybody on the team has an opportunity to implement their creativity, personality to teach these little children and young adults to have a growing personal walk with the Lord Jesus Christ based on Biblical principles.

What our students say...
"I am leading a small Bible Club every Saturday evening near to my hometown. We go and teach both children and adults to the things of the Lord. I also take part in church planting on Sundays, where I do whatever is needed; preaching, sound, driving. My favorite thing in all these, is when I see that I could help Christians or even Non Christians getting closer to God."
