Testimony
Alex
I grew up in a Hungarian-American home in Cleveland, Ohio. My grandparents immigrated from Hungary after WW I. My parents and grandparents were faithful believers, so I grew up in a Christian family. I was saved in April, 1970 during evangelistic meetings at our home church, Suburban Hts. Baptist Church. Following this I attended Cedarville College where I majored in Bible. Pam and I met there in 1971, and were married a year later. Before joining the Word of Life Hungary team in 1990, I held pastorates in Christiansburg, OH (Honeycreek Baptist Church, 1972-74) and South Bend, Indiana (Mayflower Baptist Church, 1976-1990).
Pam
I was born in Meadville, PA on July 27, 1951. Our family attended Calvary Baptist Church. My father was a deacon there and I remember going to church regularly from the time I was a little child. When I was about 12 years old Jack Van Impe came to our church for a prophecy conference. I was not sure where I stood spiritually before that time. but during that conference I trusted Christ once for all as my personal savior and committed my life to Him. After graduating from Meadville High School I went to Cedarville College, where I met Alex. He was pastoring a church near school, so I instantly became a pastor's wife. I served in local churches as a pastor's wife, ministering to the church ladies, overseeing the nursery, and helping with visitation and counseling women. Al and I joined Word of Life in 1990 and moved to Tóalmás in 1992, where we have since served on the Word of Life Hungary team.

Alex lives in Budapest and works for the International Christian School. Philip is married to Erika, who is Hungarian. They live in Dana Point CA where Philip works as a graphics designer. They have a daughter named Izabella.
