Ministry
In 2006 I came to Word of Life Hungary as an intern. I knew Word of Life through the German summer camps where I helped out as a German-Hungarian translator. After one year of internship I decided to continue my ministry as a staff member. In the past four years I have worked in many ministry areas: German clubs in churches, German camps in the summer, German teaching in public schools, Born Again to a Living Hope, a drama presentation for teens, Evangelistic childrens ministry, as well as ministering to young people in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Testimony
I was born in Slovakia in 1980, my nationality is Hungarian. As a child I was baptised and as a teenager I went through confirmation at a reformed church (protestant). Attending church was close to my heart, I believed that God existed and the Bible is true, but I didn't have a personal relationship with Him. I also knew something was wrong with me because I had disagreements with my parents and my sibblings. I got angry very easily and wanted to do my own will.
After the fall of communism, there was a possibility to attend christian camps in Slovakia. I was 14 when I attended a camp like this for the first time in my life. I really did enjoy the atmosphere there and I got to know many christian friends. I saw they were reading the bible and trying to live according what it said. They had real peace and joy in their lives and I wanted to have the same.
At the same time a German missionary family came to our church. This pastor invited us to attend a youth meeting every Friday. He picked up my sister and me for the meeting and also brought us home - our church is about 10 km far from our house. What I understood there is that my sin was the problem that separated me from God and from people. It took some time until I understood it is not about me, that I could change myself, but God, who excepts me as a sinner and He is the one who will change me.
I wanted to get to know God and the Bible better so I decided to attend a Bible school. I decided to do it at the Bible institute called "Bibelschule Brake" in Germany. I spend 3 years there and it was a very blessed time for me (2002-2005).
