Expense and Touring Information

Due to the fact that we are functioning as a mission organization in Hungary, our support comes primarily from the generous gifts of individual supporters, rather than from fees. In most cases, the fees we charge for our various activities, including camps, retreats, seminars, and the Bible School do not come close to meeting our actual costs. This means that all who come to minister with us must truly come as missionaries themselves. Therefore, though we know that a "laborer is worthy of his hire," we must ask that each short term missionary fund his own travel. We also ask for a voluntary donation (see below) to help cover room and board expenses.

Upon your arrival at the airport, each team member should withdraw or exchange whatever they need for the camp week (possibly about $30-$50) at the airport. This would be for snacks, postcards, laundry, etc. The simplest way to get money at the airport and in Budapest is through an ATM machine. Rates are generally better than exchanging cash. If you prefer to exchange cash, we suggest the main lobby of the airport as opposed to the baggage claim area, because the rates tend to be slightly better. When the team tours Budapest and the surrounding areas, there will be ATM machines and places to exchange more money for meals and shopping.

If you can help us through donations, we suggest you consider the costs listed below:

1. Airport pick up / drop off:
   1. $30 per car trip (max 2 people with luggage)
   2. $60 per van trip (3-8 people with luggage)
   3. Approximately $260 for bus rental per trip (group of more than 8 requires bus rental)
      (These costs can be divided by the number of travelers in the car, van, or bus)

English Teaching Material

Please make sure that each person on your team who will be teaching English receives a copy of the English material for this summer.

We are so thankful to the Lord for this opportunity to partner in ministry with your team and your church. The summer camp ministry is a life changing experience for all involved--campers, staff, and short term missionaries.
